TOO SCARED TO BE LOVED.....

She craves love and attention

But she is too scared to let herself have it

She pushes everyone away

Too scared to let anyone in

Too scared to be loved

Too scared to believe she is lovable

To scared that someone would love her

She has been so hurt, so hurt

No one knows how deep her pain runs

No one knows how petrified she really is

She has been so betrayed

She does not know if she can trust again

But she knows she has so much love to give

She is tired of the abuse

Of being taken for granted

Of being taken advantage of time and time again

Of false hopes and empty promises

Of being abandoned

They all say they will never leave, they love her

But she knows that is just another lie, like every other lie……

She is like a wild animal, forever vigilant

But one false move and she is back in that place again

Mistrusting, agonising, like her skin is on fire with disgust

She can never quite scrub away the stench of self-disgust

She is locked deep inside

She wants the pain to stop

She wants to be safe

She wants to be seen

She wants to be heard

She wants to be loved

She wants some sleep

She wants some peace

Oh, for what she would give for some peace……

She knows there is a love out there for her

She feels the divine union entwined within her soul

A union beyond words

An intimacy beyond touch

Her mind is fueled with an intense insatiable lust

Her body yearns for his tenderness

For their unspoken pledge to be fulfilled

To be plunged into the depths of the abyss of pure euphoria

She longingly awaits his touch

She closes her eyes she can feel him

She knows he is so close

Even though he is nowhere near

She so desperately wants to let him in

For him to make her feel safe, protected

But how, how can she let herself be free to be with him

When she knows deep in her heart of hearts, he does not see her

He never did

He never will…..
